Our next party/meeting is Saturday 12 November at the Village Hall. The bar will be open from 6pm. The meeting will start at 7.30pm prompt (so that people with other evening commitments can at least come to the meeting). Food will then follow – a chicken dinner (with veggie alternative and hot dogs for kids) with apple crumble for pudding. The bar will be open to 11pm. Do come along – all welcome!
Meanwhile, we are making good progress towards setting up a ‘community benefit society’ – Charsfield Three Horseshoes Community Pub Ltd. At the meeting on Saturday 12th, we will give details of how that will all work. The draft of our intended ‘rules’ will be available from then. They will then be checked by the legal team at the Co-Op (which has been helping us on some of this) before being sent to the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Once registered with the FSA we will be a formal legal body. After that (at our December meeting if all goes well) we will launch our formal ‘prospectus’ (with business plan etc) inviting people to become members of Charsfield Three Horseshoes Community Pub Limited (and commit to investing in it to try and get the pub going again) – details in due course.
